Underground Movement Calls for Nationwide Revolt Against Velorian Authorities

VELORIA CITY — Authorities in the fictional state of Veloria have launched an investigation into an underground political movement after the group released a manifesto calling for the destruction of the country’s existing political system and the removal of senior government leaders.

The organization, calling itself the People’s Restoration Front, accused the government of systematic repression, corruption and censorship. In a statement distributed through anonymous online accounts, the group described the current administration as an “enemy regime” that had forfeited any legitimate right to govern.

“The institutions of this state no longer serve the people,” the manifesto said. “They exist only to protect a corrupt ruling class and must be dismantled.”

The organization called for a nationwide uprising and urged citizens to reject government authority.

It encouraged public employees to abandon their positions, workers to halt production and students to disrupt universities and public institutions.

The group also appealed directly to members of the police and armed forces, telling them to refuse orders and withdraw their support from the government.

“Security personnel who continue defending the regime are choosing to stand against the population,” one statement said.

Other messages associated with the movement contained explicit threats toward political leaders and senior officials.

“The officials responsible for repression will not escape accountability,” one post said. “When the old system falls, those who defended it will face the consequences.”

Several accounts supporting the organization described government ministers, judges and security commanders as “traitors” and “enemies of the people.”

The movement also rejected calls for negotiation, arguing that compromise would only allow the existing political system to survive.

“There can be no reconciliation with the regime,” the manifesto said. “The entire structure must be removed and replaced.”

Some messages went further, claiming that the use of force against state institutions could be justified if authorities attempted to stop the uprising.

“Peaceful appeals have failed,” one statement said. “If the government answers resistance with force, the people have the right to answer with force.”

The organization urged supporters across Veloria to create local resistance networks and coordinate strikes, demonstrations and acts of mass disobedience.

Government officials described the messages as a direct attempt to incite rebellion.

The Ministry of State Security said the campaign contained threats against public officials, calls for the overthrow of constitutional institutions and rhetoric encouraging political violence.

Authorities said several online accounts associated with the organization were under investigation.

The Velorian government also increased security around parliament, government ministries and major public infrastructure.

Mainstream opposition parties condemned the People’s Restoration Front, saying political reform should be pursued through peaceful and legal means.

The Velorian Civil Liberties Association warned that authorities should not use the investigation as a justification for suppressing peaceful dissent, while also stating that direct threats and advocacy of political violence created serious public safety concerns.

Despite the investigation, the People’s Restoration Front released another message late Tuesday calling its campaign “the beginning of a national revolution.”

“The old order is approaching its end,” the statement said. “The population must choose whether to remain obedient or participate in the struggle to replace it.”

Authorities said they were continuing to monitor the group’s activities as political tensions increased across the country.
